July, 2016—My first cutting board. Never made one before. A friend where I work asked me to make one for his family with the specific dimensions of 18×12x0.5 inches. I used various hardwoods around the shop, glued them with Titebond II, planed it down in my 12-inch Delta planer, cut to final dimensions, and then final sanding to 500. Lastly, rubbed in some virgin olive oil.

Thanks for looking.

Pretty colors. I use mineral oil. You might want to research using the olive oil. Nice project.
