Project Information

I built this after someone saw the saddle rack I built for three saddles they asked for a single saddle holder. I built it with pine and used the pocket hole jig to put it together. I finished it off by burning it and three layers of amber shellac. Last I added a horseshoe hook on the front to hold a halter.

Very nice looking. I like the finish.

You might consider a horizontal member on the lower ends to keep the tree from being top heavy when there's a saddle on it. I've made several of these for myself and others' saddles. I keep the "feet" no wider than the width of the saddle, and that way you don't have to use more space.

The horseshoe looks good for a hanger.

Thanks for advice I like the saddle racks you built. I was hoping that piece I put on the bottom would make it sturdy enough but maybe not.

Looks like a solid place to store a saddle!
