More Shop Space!

Over Christmas I got to do something I have wanted to do for some time now… expand my shop, whoopee, more space! I took down part of the wall on the left of my shop opening up some space between it and the finishing room. Now I can handle a full 4×8 sheet comfortably. Picture one is the wall that has to be taken out, picture two is the wall gone, picture, mess of tools pushed into one area of the shop, at least now I know what size truck ill need when I move the shop lol. Picture four is the new wall with drywall and a DC drop for the band saw is there too. Pictures five and six are before and after shots. Its funny, everytime I do any bit of rough construction I realize why I prefer fine woodworking lol, I can do construction but I don’t enjoy it.

I also added a DC switch right in the shop with the remote for my air cleaner beside it

The cord to the switch has a twist lock plug so the DC can still be moved if need be.

This is a pic I took in the middle of everything, just a little messy lol

Very nice shop!

Now you’ve got me thinking…. We’ve got a living room, so we don’t really need a family room too. I could knock down one wall and double the size of my shop! “Honey….do you think I could.. oh, never mind.” :-)
