"The Flow" Rocker

I call this “The flow” as it is an organic flowing design.
Yin Yang is not only about light and dark. It is also the idea of constant flow and change.
Notice how the curve of the branch of the leg joins up with the curve of the arm.
The primary wood is Sapele and the leg accents are holly and Black Walnut.
The seat is upholstered in a matching velour fabric.

Thanks for looking.

I like the joint between the back leg an arm. It is different and it does flow.
Are the arms carved from one piece?

Very creative design and excellent craftsmanship. How did you enjoy working with the Sapele? I bought about 25 bd ft of Sapele recently. I do not have a particular design for it as of yet but I liked it’s appearance and wanted it in my shop for when the project design comes.

That looks like a chair that would work very well in Lord of the Rings – something Bilbo Baggins would have in his home. That’s a compliment!
