Had a few days off from work and decided to use up some lumber I had sitting around. The mahogany wasn’t quite wide enough to build the bench so I put some scrap cherry in the middle. First time I cut dados with saw and chissel, and I put few cut nails in to make it look sturdy. I Put two coats BLO/thinner/poly. Sanded and a third coat of poly/thinner.

Very nice. I like the Cherry accent stripe. It’s only gonna get better over time too.
Thanks for sharing.
