My latest project is a platform bed and nightstands. It is a king size bed with three drawers on each side. The drawers are under mount, full extension and go almost to the middle so they provide a large amount of storage. The build is fairly standard large mortise and tenon joints on the headboard and footboard as they are quite heavy. The nightstands are a combination of dominos and the sides are attached to the front and back panels with dadoes. The platform is basically two twin size boxes put together. I will try to get a picture with just the platform and drawers if anyone is interested. The major components are all quarter-sawn white oak with my own finish recipe / technique. I have posted the complete technique I use on some of my other projects if you are interested. I welcome any questions or comment.

thanks for taking the time to view my project!

Totally awesome. The arched doors are a real eye catching feature and your stain/finish is great.

Jeff, it is all wonderful, but it was the nightstands that really caught my eye. I need to add negative spaces to my work. Thanks for sharing.

That’s a great looking A&C bedroom set! I like the tapered legs, and really like the design of the nightstands—very impressive!

Gorgeous! I love the curved top detail on the nightstand door. Considering making something like this myself.
