One of the first wood turning designs I came up with, and one of the first I made on my then new Jet lathe. The finish is lacquer. I made several sets of these candelsticks of this design out of various woods. Some were turned out of oak 2×4s when my Uncle tore down Grandad’s old grainary. That wood had the most golden color I ever saw in oak! I wish would have taken the whole lot!! I made these for a anniversary present.

Beautiful design and wood. Bet they would look even better with a different color candle….dark red or blue. Something to compliment the wood color and not blend in so much. Just my 2 cents. Either way, they are very, very eye catching. Super job.

Great deisgn and turnings. Love the zebrawood. How hard was it to get the same design and yet be different sizes? Have done this on other things and seems my design changes with the size. Probably just me. haha
Keep it up.
