I bought some slabs of Kowhai that is riddled in pururi moth lava holes. They have been sitting around for a while so time to use some. Hording timber doesn’t get anything made. Better of burning it than never using it. I needed a project for my students that introduces chair making and further involves using the wood lathe. I based this around a windsor/country cottage chair. The wood is actually stained and then lacquered.
Sanded with 240 :)

I have been busy with Murphy attacking my vehicles and tools. All at once. It will make a good learning tool!
