Socket Chisel restoration

I am working in a cabinet shop this summer, i found this old 2” socket chisel with a horribly spit handle. I decided to not remove the pitting to preserve the original shape and stamping. Hopefully the new ash handle will last longer than the old one.

I forgot to take a before picture of the blade, it was rusted and coated in melamine adhesive.

Nice replacement handle and cleanup of the blade but I am sure the old handle did it’s job for some time .
