Hexagonal sheoak coffee table

I wanted a coffee table the same height as the arm rest of my lounge chair. This way my arm rotates out and back without raising or lowering when picking up the coffee mug. The timber is Western Australian Sheoak which I milled from a log I found laying around out in the bush. The legs and rails are mortise and tenon joint.

Sorry about the close up picture of the leg. I guess this program puts all photos into landscape. I will know for next time.

Hahaha. My wife asked why I put a pac man in the picture. Its suppose to be a lilly pad. But it does look like pac man. Haha

Looks great! I don’t know much about Australian woods. How is she-oak different from he-oak?
