Not sure where to post this so im saying its a stab at a cabinet for a HF lathe , went to a fellow LJ s William http://lumberjocks.com/greasemonkeyredneck home and a good turner and works with one of these and recommended it as a beginner and also to buy a shield first and i did , i saw his lathe cabinet and got the idea, and thanks https://www.google.com/url?q=http://lumberjocks.com/luv2learn/blog/38457&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwje9YjCpvjNAhUGKh4KHcNdBawQFggLMAM&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNEX21Csyij4tKRDXzS4HGb7AKfeKA for a good blog on it ran out of month and had to make some pulls and the hinges are some french style one that Matthias Wandel made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1H7lj1zN_A ,as my shop is small and has to have most tool mobil i found these wheels that lift and lower to floor , they wook well well worth the 50 bucks as it has 6 4×6x 16 solid blocks of concret to weight it to the floor they came from http://woodworker.com/ i got mine from amazone with free shipping , they work really well , it calls for a 3/4 inch space but put them as close to the floor as you can , , thanks for looking and now i just got to learn to turn with out knocking my head off and sharpen the chisels ,

Nice cabinet, looks great with the homemade hinges & pulls.
I think you are too concerned about learning how to use the lathe, you’ll do fine, then you’ll be hooked.
Happy turning.

Great construction. Now we need to see something turned.

Eddie be careful
Glad to hear you got the face shield now maybe look for some ice cleats I hear that slope is steep and it’s easy to loose your wallet .

Looks great, Eddie! You and William have Jim wanting one of these. Bunch of enablers! Looking forward to seeing what you turn. Still have that little maple (?) in the front yard? Thanks for sharing.
