I have been perfecting the “true Woodworkers” phone holder. My first ones were OK, but the cedar split easy. It also needed a relief on the sides to let me get a hold of it easier. I have found this design to be working quite well. I added felt buttons to cover the inset nuts and that gave the phone some cushion and keeps it in place. Not sure what the wood is, but it is hard and quite pretty. Finished with spray on Poly. It’s not furniture.

you are pretty close to the optimal but I´m concerned abaut will the phone stay in there
and I would use felt all over the insite part
but I like the design
