In 2006, I was commissioned by a friend to design a bed wherein he would build his room around it. The headboard is sculpted from Tindalo while the bedposts are hand carved from century old Molave posts reclaimed from a demolished house same as all woods I use in creating all my designs. The inlay on the sides are of ebony. Its home is a 44th floor penthouse in Makati, Philippines and its location is a witness to Manila Bay’s spectacular sunsets!

Looks nice. Can I assume you changed your mind after you took the third picture and rounded the headboard off. Or is this two different beds?

I’m speechless again. How do you describe your work, Benji? It is certainly more than furniture!
