This is the first piece of furniture I ever made …...... tools used were circular saw ,router, and a belt sander …. the only tools I owned at that time …..which was about 16 years ago …..wood was 100 year old pine that was put together for plumbing bins for PVC. got the wood for free …... the drawings were made by my sister in law …..then I transferred them onto wood …then routed them out.

I think it is a very nice cabinet.

Especially like that is re-used and the excellent art work too!

For a first project with a limited amount of tools your gun cabinet turned out really nice. I always say that you don’t need more tools than the next person you just need the right tools for the job.

Nice first up T. Reminds me of my first project when all I had was a B&D circular saw and a single speed drill with a sanding pad. It was a restoration job on an old army foot locker with about 30 coats of paint and executed 44 years ago in a block of flats when I was happily single.

BTW. How’d you get Bambi and Yogi posing for the picture together without Bambi tearing Yogi’s throat out? Did you have both the doors open so they be facing the other way and couldn’t see each other?

PS. Not preaching, but hope you have keyed locks on the cabinet now…

PPS. Like the feminine touch… pink felt to keep the barrels warm.

GR8, we in Australia know how to train Bambis, why else are there NO bears here anymore…

Sensitive about our choice of colour are we? I reckon you Photoshoped the picture to make it appear RED… Just because your posted article was red, doesn’t mean the colour is.

Nice cabinet – very ’’accessible’’. In our country, every gun owner must keep it’s guns in metal box under lock at home.

Here in Australia we have quirky laws too. To be a gun owner… they expect you to have at least one gun…
