Recent commission for a Pizza Peel. Asked for 10” wide and 30” long decorative piece .. more beauty than brawn.

Body is cherry from a wide bit of scrap I had, handle is Birdseye Maple and accents are Walnut.

The handle ended up being a bit off center when I shaped it before the glue up and didn’t notice until afterwards, lots of fiddling around and fretting over where to cut. My pencil told me all is well but eyeballing it said otherwise.

Turned out lovely and will be delivering it this weekend after I show it off at the weekly market.

thanks for looking!

That is really nice looking. The accent around the maple is really great.

The slight arch between the woods adds just the right look.

I like the look of it with the wedge. These are fun to make.
