Nice fancy boxe. I become to like boxes !!! Be sure that I saved a copy as a future project (even if I don’t use guitar picks !)
Did you dig the inside with the router? Using a template?
Best,
Serge

My process of making boxes from one piece of wood is to cut the outside shape. Cut the top off. Cut the bottom off, then scroll saw out the middle piece. After that I glue the bottom back on and apply finish.

Now I really like that. I love to play guitar myself and this is right up my alley. Got to give this a try…

Thanks for the construction details. I would have use a router and a template (probably because I’m a routerholic), but I find your process quite interesting. I’m taking good note of it. Thanks for sharing.
Best,
Serge

Great little box! I need to make one of these for my grandson who plays guitar professionally. But, since I don’t have a band saw, I’ll have to try to hog the insides out with a router and template.
You did a real nice job on this!

I have been looking at your pick box for a few days. Today I decided to see what I could do with the idea…...needless to say you won’t find a project for the one I attempted. I had fun trying, and will try again as my son is a guitar player and I think he would really like to have a pick box. Looked like a fairly simple project, but I give you much credit. You did an outstanding job! Thanks for sharing!!
Have your say...
