This was one of my projects helping out my neices new home. (the one I posted the kitchen cabinets) The first pic is a before of an area that was washing out when it rained. So having some poles a friend and I helped me to add this retainer wall to help solve the problem.
We have a few more to add but the main wall is done. The 2nd pic of course is how it turned out. Also to hide the water pipe I decided to have some fun and make my own cover for it adding a birdhouse to the design. I think it really looks neat and sets off this side of the yard in a nice way. My neice loved the idea and was excited to see what we did. The birdhouse was built for a bluebird so will see what happens next year nesting time!

Very nice solution to the erosion problem.

Nice job on the bird house too. Very artistic work – looks great!
