*Well with all this talk of both Brexit and Trump I thought it was time for Super Heroes .
Well just a bit of fun for the ankle biters So no going purple in the face about branding bla bla bla.
So what do we have ? Well Super man symbol made from Mozambique Kiaat and African Bubinga and Mr Batman made from Mozambique Wild Mango and US Black Walnut, Both drowned in a vat of Tung Oil.
With Routered Keyhole slots for hanging. Both stand around 5 inch tall and the Gotham Bat about 8 inch across.
I used Tightbond 3 and a couple of dowels to lock them together. This was a bit of a test for my new Scrollsaw just to see how it performed . Anyway hope you like this . I enjoyed the distraction from News 24 Doom and gloom dot com. Regards Barry… Windsor Castle UK.

Now sold my old Hegner on ebay as it was well over 20 years old and I needed a bigger faster unit with speed control.
My old Hegner has done me proud but it was held together with sticky tape and cable ties and was very tired after spending more than 15 years being abused by teenage kids in a school.

Nicely done, Bazz! Focus on the positive! We all could do better at that. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Barry, just wondered what brand of Scroll Saw you bought, and why didn’t you buy a new Hegner…was it just time to try out a different saw when the old Hegner bit the dust?

Hi Larry Good question ! Ok my new Scroll saw is a Axminster but think its called a excaliber in the US.
Cost new £450 thats around 650 USD $....... A new top end Hegner here is £1700 thats 2300USD $ and I know how good the hegner is but I still dont think it matches what my new one does….
I know people may jump on me for saying this but I must say I am very pleased with the upgrade.
