Cool! I like the natural exterior and the rustic interior holding the elegant ring, and the personalization is a great touch – if she didn’t say yes then she is nuts. I worked in a jewelry store for 10 years and we always had men asking for something more distinctive and individual than the bland boxes we offered, and most of the women would have killed for a guy who put as much thought into the box as he din into the ring.

Where did you get the hardware and is the personalization stenciled or free-hand? I see an unfilled market niche here – customized ring boxes. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the comments. I got the hardware from one of those unfinished wooden boxes from the craft store. The box was under 3 dollars and I just took the latch and hinge off of it. I used a stencil for the lettering. And foam finished with burlap to hold the ring. I made it for my sister in laws boyfriend. And she did say yes. It was a fun little project
