Hello everyone this is my first post, and also my first hall table I’ve made. The table is pretty tall I realize that but its not a deal breaker for me, I can always cut it shorter. The wood is a pretty special to me. My girlfriends grandfather gave me the tree, not sure where he gathered it but somewhere on his property Im sure. This is Florida cherry and it seems fl cherry is so much denser than cherry I’ve worked with in my home state of CO. Anyways I then took and milled it up on an older friends LT40 woodmiser. the legs are mortise and tenon and the top it slot screwed for super slight movement. To me its amazing to go through the whole process of tree to furniture. Sry for the rant hope everyone likes it.

It’s a very nice piece…simple, elegant, and understated. That’s the kind of work I admire most. Well done.

Nice work, beautiful table. Can you reveal the finish you used?, makes the cherry look great.

i like the clean lines. The finish looks great on the table. The nice thing about custom building is building it to your specifications, not what the store thinks you need.

Have your say...
