These aren’t my first projects, but the first I’ve taken the time to sit down and share with the group.
The first is a clock for my father-in-law based on the clock by cass (http://lumberjocks.com/projects/18594).
The second is for my father. I knew I wanted a trout, but didn’t know what to do for the background. I decided to try to create a mountain backdrop.
Both clocks are 2” dia. from Woodcraft. The wood is recycled flooring from a room I tiled. I believe it to be oak. I used a dark walnut stain and three coats of poly for the finish.
With the long weekend I plan to load my other projects.
Thanks to all the fellow lumberjocks for the motivation and education.

Very nice clocks. I am sure they will enjoy them. Nice use of cut scrap.
Keep it up.
