This seems to be the most copied cutting board all time!! So I also jumped on the band wagon and joined the party
Whilst I was waiting for the glue to dry on the other lattice cutting board, I started to make this one in parallel.
All the dimensions are as per the WW instructions – the timber used was European Beech and Jatoba – makes a nice change from Maple and Purple heart (I wish I could get it here) and it is HEAVY (5.2kg – 11 ¾ lbs)

beautiful work Tony! I have yet to build a cutting board. Hopefully mine will be as gorgeous as these!

Tony:
Nice pattern.
Are you saying that this board is copied from the Woodwhisperer web site?
I don’t get the meaning of the title.

Hi Bob
Take a look at the WW site everybody is copying and making these things – there must be at least a half dozen or so on the LJ site. I copied it from the WW site.

Another great cutting board, Tony.
You’re right, there are a lot of cutting boards being posted lately. Why not – they are something that everybody can use!

Tom, I agree with you, but I think the best part is even the more inexperienced woodworkers can make excelent works of art with a minimum of tools and skill. I hope that this inspires some of them to give it a try – it encompasses so many different facets of this wonderful vocation.

My wife sells Pampered Chef. They sell cutting boards.
Mostly some sort of germ proof plastic.
If you can’t make one and want to buy one let me know.

nice job….I’ve yet to make an endgrain board but I hope to do one soon , maybe I can find some boring face grained wood that the end grain will look better than it does long grained…..probably have to buy something special because I’ve spent most of my life seeking out specially figured woods for my projects. have a great day
