This was my first large furniture project. I did a lot of planning beforehand in SketchUp. I still made several mistakes and there are definitely things that I could have done better, but overall I am pleased with the result.
Construction is red oak veneer plywood and solid red oak trim. The door pulls and the molding on the top of the piece are from my grandfather on my Mom’s side who passed away a while ago. Both he and my grandfather on my Dad’s side made cabinetry and other woodworking projects, so I’m just carrying on the family traditions. I know that I still have a ways to go to match some of the things that they have made, but the best way to learn is by doing!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Lots of storage SHMBO will like that … Great job, and remember that the little mistakes and boo-boo’s make it unique.

Thank you all for the nice comments.
Gargey – Yes, that is an antenna, just can’t see paying for cable when there are so many free options available.
Grumpymike – I will agree on the unique aspect, not sure they make it better though. :)
