Project Information

My son requested I build him a compound miter saw stand just like the one I built for myself in 2011.

Back in 2011, I used mortise and tenon joints on my stand. I decided to use Kreg pocket screws for my son's stand. The Kreg pocket screws really saved time…........I built my son's stand, and gave it 2 coats of Zinssers white paint in about 4 hours!

If you are interested in seeing more details on this project, see my woodworking web site.

Thanks!

The stands that we build are much better than the commercial ones most of the time!

Nicely done.

Appears to be light and still strong!

Thanks!

The stand is extremely light weight to move to different job sites, yet is also very strong. I have thrown it in the back of my F150 many times, and it has survived many job site moves.
