Started out as a Christmas present but didn’t make it underneath the tree. As I finished this little box I began to really like the combination of woods and the elongated shape. Was suposed to be one of about 12 boxes that I made for Christmas gifts this year. I like to use combinations of wood to make interesting designs for the top of my boxes, this combination was made almost a year ago and I was waiting to find the right idea for a box. I really like to use Wenge as it’s nearly black color provides a nice contrast for other woods. It is a little hard to work but it finishes out really nice.

This is a spectacular box. Well done. I hope you consider imitation as a form of flattery because I made try to imitate this box – however, I doubt that I can make it as nicely as you made yours.
