My wife is a librarian and book lover. She has been after me to do this for some time. Then, WOOD Magazine showed up with this on the cover. She saw it before I got to it, so this is the result. Happy wife, happy life. She just let me buy a helical head 8” Grizzly jointer, so I should not be snotty.

So far the response has been great. We have had 3 people stop by to talk to us about it. One lady was with her daughter and thanked us for the kid friendly content. It was a fun project and I am glad it makes my wife happy.

Yes, I added a LED rope light. Right behind the library, on the inside of our fence, we have an outlet. I put in a photo-cell time outlet and ran the rope light down the back of the post, in the dirt, under the fence and up into the outlet. It comes on at dusk and stays on 6 hours. Looks great, especially eye catching from a distance.

Nice looking LFL. My son made three Little free Libraries for his Eagle Project. I love the icebox latch.

Thanks, me too. I think the rusted iron hardware really makes it special. I had to order it and wait 2 months. During that time I tried hard to find another set, so I did not have to wait, but I am glad I did. Well worth it as I think it is real unique, much better than polished brass, or whatever.
