Our daughter rowed for 4 years on her college crew team. Over that time, she collected her share of medals. As a Christmas surprise, I mounted her medals in this shadow box. Since the back of the medals have dates and event information on them, I elected to leave the front of the case open, rather than covered with glass. The frame is ash. The back is plywood covered in felt and let into the back of the frame with a rabbet.
