My wife asked me to build something for a coworker who bought her first home. I have never built a clock and I thought it would be fun, and it was. I got the clock works from Klockit and the idea from many different post on LJ’s. I wish I could remember them and give them credit

You have a great clock, I love making clocks yours is one of the nicest one I ever seen, I too get my material from Klockit.

Nice job.
I would suggest a small change if you build another oak clock case that will make it look better (my opinion). Try to find some quarter sawn oak with the “fiddle” grain pattern. The cabinet will look more antique like. This type of mantle clock takes very little wood so the extra expense of quarter sawn is worth the end result.
