Thanks y’all. It’s not obvious from the photos but each element of the segmentation is cherry, maple, cherry, maple—you can tell when you look at the clip side vs. the back and see the pattern repeats around the pen.

This was lots of fun to make and I made enough blank stock for several versions. More fun coming up.
