This was a project that’s been on my list for a while and actually managed to get done quite quickly. It is made with ¾ maple plywood for the case and shelves, ¼ maple plywood for the back and solid maple for the top, legs and trim. The case was assembled using pocket screws and the finish is wipe on poly. I used the recessed middle panel (idea from thewoodwhisperer) to hide the power bar and cables. I also love the idea that no cables are on the ground to so vacuuming (the dog hair) underneath is simple. Thanks for looking any comments good or bad are welcome.

Very nice. Did you use anything else on the finish besides poly?
This design is very similiar to what I’m planning. I like the recessed area.
Thanks for sharing!

Very nice. Simple, clean, good. I am curious about the top though. In the pictures it looks darker and more figurative than I would expect from Maple (I’m no expert by any means). Is it plain Maple?

Thanks for all the comments. The finish is just plain wipe on poly. The top is darker then the rest it was labelled as Western Maple, it does have some knots and worm holes.
