Title says it all. This is my second cutting board and they are fun to make without taking up a lot of room in the shop, and also make for good milling and joinery practice.
These cutting boards have given me a chance to try out two woods that I had not used much, cherry on my first board and maple on this one.
This board was made from a stick of 8/4 maple and measured 12×18×1.6 finished.
I liked using the 8/4 maple as there was far less gluing and sanding than in my cherry cutting board that was from 4/4 stock. The walnut was leftover from a coffee table project several years back, and was glad to find use finally for those table leg scraps that were too pretty to discard.
Thanks for looking.
