A quick cutting board. Oak end grain with purpleheart inlay.

The final size is about 8”x10”x 1-1/4” thick. it was going to be bigger but i wrecked i trying to send it thru the planer, never plane endgrain. see the blog.

I thought about doing inlay on a cutting board a few times, but wasn’t sure how wood expansion would come into play or if the inlay would get cut up sooner than the rest of the board.

Very creative.
