Christmas jewelry box

I started it on Dec. 22nd and I had it ready to wrap at 11:00 p.m. Christmas Eve – it was certainly a carving marathon. Actually I had intended to try a bandsaw box, however I chickened out at the last moment, so the drawers and holes for them were all carved which was a huge chore. The picture straight on isn’t all that great but it is just to show the heart shape.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you a Happy Tool Filled new Year!

...and thank you all for the lovely and supportive comments you’ve been leaving

Jordan,
Now I understand the gun and holster carving even better. You are great when you’re under the gun, I see. Very lovely box. The texturing on the little heart and bow handles is just unreal. As usual you created another masterpiece! Congratulations and here’s wishing you and yours a most prosperous New Year!

Sincerely,
Ken McGinnis

just extraordinary—and a “last minute” creation—unbelievable!!
As for the last photo, I was in awe as I looked at the other photos and then the last one came up and I got all choked up. It really showed the sentiment in the piece.

Very Awesome. I could spend a couple months and not carve out anything near that nice. That’s a great talent you’ve got.
