Ok I know you all are thinking geez she is got her hands in everything.. This is true to some degree.. I am enjoying all aspects of woodworking and want to learn it all. But I have found that leaving the building part to hubby and my working in finishing, chip carving and pyrographics.. It gives me some variety without getting into to many things.. That is alot in its self I know but again I like variety.. So here are some pyrographics I tried my hand at.. I am not an artist by any means so given that fact here is what I have been able to produce with my limited artistic talent.. The horse is not quite finished yet…

Excellent Cheryl! A friend of mine does a lot of pyrography. I think you’ve found a calling.

Thank you all for your encouragement.. They sure help keep me motivated… I am really enjoying both the carving and and the burning..
These are not originals.. I am using a book called Great Book of Woodburning
I used both the eagle and the horse outlines..

Thank you all for your encouragement

Hi Cheryl;

My son has started to play with matches. His wood burning dosen’t look anything like that!

Not an artist?

Even with a pattern, the skill level suggests differently. Maybe you just haven’t been discovered yet!
