Project Information

I built this oak barrister bookcase many years ago in high school shop class for my sister. She recently gave it back to me and I then added the base section. The base is simple molding and a frame made from pallet wood, note all the nail holes. I also upgraded the glass windows to polycarbonate, which I highly recommend. It is pricier but much much safer. The photos were taken right after I finished the project, over the past couple years the polyurethane on the base has darkened with age and matches the original finish quite well.

Very nice. I've always admired Barrister book cases. Yours is excellent.

Very nicely done-I've always liked barrister bookcases and have one on my "bucket list".

As it so happens, I've also got this project on my to-do list-and yours turned out very nicely!
