I built this wall hung tool cabinet out of Baltic Birch Plywood using Jan Zoltowsk’s plans from Fine Woodworking 4/2012. It was billed as a quick to build cabinet that took me several months of weekends, I finished it in July that year. Well, building it is only 50% of the job, making the tool holders is the ongoing part of the project. I finally got tired of stacking up my tools in this cabinet and started to make some tool holders. I don’t know why I put this off for so long, once started it was fun to do. Kind of a zen thing making small parts with hand tools. I used magnets to hold the planes up, and have included a pic of one in pic 6.

Nice cabinet, I like how each tool has a designated spot/holder.

This tool cabinet is a nice addition to your shop.

Nicely done and well organized. My shop is in need of few of these which I hope to make this winter. Thanks.

Great job, sort of heading that way myself, where did you find the magnets?

All, thanks for looking and your kind comments.

Oltexasboy, I got the magnets online from;

I used the Nd countersunk magnets.
