Shoe Rack/Dresser Combo

Well, I have been working on this off and on over the course of a few years. It’s a shoe rack/dresser combo to stick in our closet. I attempted to design it in a midcentury modern style. It was a fun departure from the mission style that I typically do. It is made of some old growth redwood that was milled from logs that were cut down in the 1930’s. Although not shown, the drawer boxes are made with maple.

well, it’s a very nice piece. You certainly should be able to store some shoes.

What a beauty. Love the design and look of this. Not trying to come off negitive, I think home made wood handles would make this even better. Only reason I say this, is your eyes are drawn to the silver first which takes away from your beatiful work. I hope this doesn’t offend you just my opinion and trying to help fellow woodworker.
