I only made this case from pine so I decided to paint it. These are samples of Key Largo Limestone. They built the Florida Keys (the first reef) some 125,000 years ago when it started growing. These block are from the top of that reef and are probably only 5-6000 years old. Each block (2×2x2) is a different coral and the bottom left one is coral mixed with African red dust that blew over year after year as it still does today. Ever been in the Keys and watch a beautiful sunset with orange and red skies. Well the dust is the reason.

Very well presented. I like this ’’Mediteranian’’ blue colour.

Bob, this is a beautiful piece and nicely done. Congratulations and welcome to Lumberjocks.
