My sliding shelf job is done. bought some hard maple from someone with a portable sawmill and a solar kiln. Lumber was about 1.55bf. Was not bad lumber but the way it was cut (pretty wavy cuts) would be hard to get 4/4 out of it. I milled the sides down to 5/8 and the bottoms are 1/2 maple ply. The wood did have a few worm holes in it that was not seen till it was milled down. Pretty small holes so did not bother too much. The top edge of one shelf was pretty wormy so did a little putty there. All in all everyone likes them and it was fun using my new Incra router table!

Turned out great and good use of the wood!
