Tater and onion bin

Iv’e been busy since the screwdriver swap is over catching up on orders. This is a classic potato and onion bin I made for a friend. A simple project even when adding a drawer for the onions. Instead of peg board I used some bead board leftovers for the back and forstnered for ventilation. Finished with red oak and gloss polyurethane on the outside only.

The added drawer is a nice touch, Jeff. If I ever get around to making one of these, I might add it. Thanks for sharing.

Cool job Jeff. If you free handed those letters, you did very well compared to me.

Thanks for the comments. Candy, give one a try, they are not too tough. Just 45 and 22.5 degrees. Dave, I did freehand the letters. I wanted it to look “rustic” but may have been a bit too neat. Thanks for looking!

Your cabinet is nice but I speak from experience, there isn’t enough ventilation. If you replaced the entire back with 1/4” hardware with your veggies will last much longer.

First class. I love everything about it. Love the carved words, color, and extra features.
