Santa decided to make dollhouses for my two girls this year. Just simple dollhouses, no rooms inside, made similarly to a couple dollhouses my Dad and I made for my sisters when I was a kid. The carcass is made from baltic birch plywood. The siding is 1” wide strips of 1/8” baltic birch. The shingles are cedar, split from end grain pieces using a miter trimmer. It felt like it took about 3 million shingles to cover each one, but in reality it was 1044 per house. That was the most time consuming part of the project! My daughters loved them, so it was all worth it.

Thats alot of tiny shingles. Great looking doll houses.
