One of my sisters thought that the walnut tissue box – that I made for my wife – would make a good Christmas gift. Good for one good for all. Roses this time instead of magnolia.

Wood : Walnut
Size: 5-1/2” x 9-5/8” x3-3/8”
Finish: Lacquer
Hand cut dovetails
Photo: rotated, cropped, and resized in Sketchup.

Thanks for the comment on my roses. The finish is acrylic artist colors thinned with varnish enough to make it transparent. Then the whole box was finished with high luster lacquer. I have sense learned that a matte finish doesn’t show the carving flaws as bad.
