I made this nightstand a few years ago. The top is made from 1 large oak 4×4 that I resawed. It has real nice quartering. It was my first try at breadboard edges and I did them wrong, so the top has split as you can see. Oh well I still like it and use it every day.

Beautifully done.

I’m working on mine, right now. I can only hope it comes out as well as yours did!

I really like how you use found wood. It shows me what is possible on a smaller budget.

So, what did you do wrong so I don’t repeat your mistake?
