Project Information
This is my kitchen remodel project. For the cabinets I replaced all the old particle board drawers and used Baltic Birch ply. I actually wanted to use solid Maple, but since this was a budget project… ehhh good quality plywood works. In my next project shelves I have a photo of the difference between home improvement stores plywood (Home Depot) and a local hardwood lumber suppliers ply.
I used multiple coats of oil underbody primer on the oak to get a decent build and then sanded it smooth and gave it several coats of latex.
The last photo is a make shift spray booth. I sealed the area taping and stapling the plastic together and blowing a fan into the area to inflate it and push the air through the filter. I'm sure the filter didn't catch everything, but since I wasn't using a dry fall type paint I needed something to keep it from going anywhere the wind was blowing.
Over all it a huge improvement for the cost using Blum soft close on cabinet doors and drawers make if feel like quality cabinets.
