This is my thank you plaque for my neurosurgeon. I just had a temporal lobectomy on Oct 9 and had 16 cubic cm of my brain removed to stop my seizures which was a miracle to me. So six hours of his time to change my life I can atleast make him a thank you plaque out of my best wood in my shop. I used african bloodwood as the plaque itself and purpleheart for the ribbon because a lavender coloured ribbon represents epilepsy. The ribbon is still brown in the pic from working on t and needs to blend back to purple eventually though. As for the brass engraving I got done at the mall near my house. I would’ve built him a much greater project if I could but I’m still recovering and can’t do much still. I hope you like it.

Great post. You did a great job on that plaque. Great to hear no more seizures. That’s great. Merry Christmas Mark to you and your family.

A payment like that will mean a lot more than the money he receives. Hope your recovery is quick.

The fact that you can make something like this so soon after your surgery is a testimonial to the great job your surgeon did!
