For Father’s Day, I decided to make my Dad a headphone stand for his computer, and another one for myself. It was a simple and fun project. I made him try to figure out what it was, and naturally it took a few hints. He eventually got it, but, that was probably my favorite part, the guessing game of what this could be for.
If you have a friend or loved one that uses head phones for TV or computer this is a great gift idea. The first one is made of some pretty mystery wood for the holder, and bullet wood for the base. The second one is maple and walnut both finished with Boiled Linseed oil and finished with a couple of spray poly top coats. The base is attached to the holder via 2 dowels.
You can add 2 dowels to the back of the unit as cable management to wind the excess headphone cord around.
Holder 10” tall x 1.5” x .75 ”
Base 5” long x ~3.75”
