Fantastic box. That curly maple and padauk really go well together. Great design and great build.
Keep it up.

Beautiful box! The design is fantastic and love the wood combo. I just recently finished several boxes with the same woods. Very nice and thanks for posting.

Gene, this is a gorgeous box. It has a nice design to it and you chose a nice set of woods for its construction.

I love it. Great job.
I want to use Padauk on my next project every time I see it on here. I love it’s color and warmth. I bought a board recently. Now I just need to put it to work.

Gene you have done an outstanding job on this box. The recipient will be stunned. This is such a classy design and a man wont feel threatened by having it on his dresser. I can only guess at the amount of time you spent on this, especially the dividers…whew!
Your handle is just right, good contrast and nicely proportioned. Thats something I have learned to really pay attention to. On some of my early boxes the handles are a pretty wood, but are too big and draw too much attention, like a cockroach on a wedding cake.
Thanks for sharing,... and hurry up and do more :-)

“cockroach on a wedding cake” Priceless, Andy!
Gene, It’s a beauty! I especially like the shaped dividers on the tray and the maple moldings on tray and bottom dividers. Classy touch.

Gene, you always do such wonderful work and this box is no exception. The contrast between the maple and padauk. is great. Attention to detail and scale are perfect.
