Just finished a small Christmas gift for my in-laws. I made good use
of James Booth model (Vector Art 3D) of Jesus and Tim Merrill’s
(see Vectric forum article) glazing technique. Thanks guys for assisting
with this gift—the end result, which the photos do not due justice, is
much better than I could have done pre-Pittsburgh (Vectric User Forum

This plaque is cut into a single piece of Spanish Cedar (Brazilian).
Jesus’s hair is glazed with Van Dyke brown stain, and the robe is finished
with a mixture of “warm white” and “ice blue” craft paint—then
distressed with a nylon pad.

Overall plaque dimensions are 15” high X 28” wide.

Merry Christmas to All LumberJocks ….

Super job! It looks beautiful and will surely be appreciated. A nice way to give Scripture too.

And you have a blessed Christmas also.

Oh, from your title I thought this was going to be the Lord’s Prayer written in Spanish on a piece of Cedar. My bad :)
The Lord appreciates a sense of humor. Your project turned out very nice. Well done.
