My friend commissioned me to make an oak heart to fit within a metal heart they made out of a barrel strap to use as a sign in for their daughters wedding(beleive it’s at a winery or themed similar to that), I got a board of white oak and cut it into strips, I decided to add a small round over ot the boards before gluing them up to give a small grove between boards. Made a few test stained and aged pieces so they could pick a color. Stained and sanded to 320 grit so it would be easy to write on. Did allot of sanding to get a moderatly decent fit and secured it with some old fashion nails around the sides. Added some key hole brackets to the back so it can be hung. They are going to paint their daughter and fiancee’s name on it and keep it with everyones signature from the wedding.
