Playing around with different ideas led to this design. Was actually trying to make two ying and yang, end-grain cutting boards to enter the winter contest but could not get the cuts right and I did not want to watse any more boards trying. I cut down one of the mistakes, re-glued the pieces and came up with this board. Cherry, walnut and thin strips of maple. Will re-think the ying and yang board and maybe try it again. Thanks for looking.

That looks really good. Is the maple one continuous strip on each side? What is your circle-cutting technique? I have seen looks of different methods (table saw, band saw, router) and I was curious to know what you use.

Thanks everyone for the positive reviews.
Joe – The maple strips are continuous and I used a bandsaw with a circle cutting jig.
